Travel Industry Exhibition – 2018 in Sydney, Australia

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) in collaboration with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Sydney will be participating at the Travel Industry Exhibition from 21st to 22nd August, 2018 at Dockside, Darling Harbour, Sydney.

Sri Lanka Tourism Pavilion will consist of sixteen (16) Tour Operators, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau Information Pavilion and the Ceylon Tea Stall. 

The major objective of Sri Lanka’s participation at this Annual Travel Industry Exhibition is to promote Sri Lanka as a destination to Australian Tour Operators as well as the Consumer Market.

Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Sydney has made arrangements and invited Hon. Adam John Marshal MP, Minister of Tourism and Major Events, and Assistant Minister for Skills of the State Parliament of New South Wales to the Official Opening at the Sri Lanka Pavilion on the 21st August, 2018 at 10:00 hrs. with cultural performances. 

There will be a Press Conference on the same day, in the morning, organised by the SLTPB.  Media Personnel across Australia have been invited to the Media Briefing. 

Sri Lanka has become an attractive destination to Australian travellers boosted by direct Sri Lankan flights operating between Melbourne and Colombo.  Sri Lanka targets 100,000 Aussie travellers for the current year, 2018.  Series of tourism promotional campaigns have been undertaken by all stakeholders in Australia and Sri Lanka in promoting Sri Lanka as a ‘go to’ destination.

Australian Tour Operators, Travel Companies and interested individuals are most welcome to visit Sri Lanka Pavilion at the Travel Industry Exhibition from 21st to 22nd August, 2018.
