The passing of Mr. Ranjith Wijayasekara, Gentleman and Scholar.

It is with profound sadness that we received information of the passing of our friend Ranjith this morning (12 March).

He has been a long time supporter of Ozlanka and for over 10 years he covered events and provided us with event photo and a write up of these events.

Above all, Ranjith was a tireless community worker, ready to be involved in many projects. Be it the SLA, the Old Anandians, the Temple or a sporting group, Rajith was ready to volunteer to take a role in organizing the event.

Ranjith was a true son of Mother Lanka, he associated with all communities and had a wide circle of friends of all faiths and races. His passing is an immense loss and he will be deeply missed by many of his friends and contemporaries.

We ask all to pray that his soul shall attain eternal peace in the Hereafter.

We offer our most heartfelt condolences to his family.

Ranjith, my dear friend, Rest In Peace!
