Opening Ceremony – Vidarshana Buddhist Vihara, Carlingford

Opening ceremony of the newly established Vidarshana Buddhist Vihara, Carlingford was held at Roselea Scout Hall, Plympton Road Carlingford on Saturday 11th June 2022 from 4.00pm until 7.00pm.

The activities of the evening included a welcome speech by Dr Gamani Goonetilleke, a Buddha Vandana, Buduguna Sathyakkriyava and Pirith Chanting conducted by the Resident Monk Venerable Hendala Seela Thero and a Thanks giving speech by Ruwan Seneviratne. The gathering exceeded the expectation of the Organising committee. Refreshments were served at the end of the ceremony before the attendees departed.

Monk’s residence of the new Vihara is located at 81 Baker Street, Carlingford NSW 2118. We ask you to make use of the services provided by the Vihara to our local community.
